kitsch in the kitchen...

I went on a mini adventure to a place called dragonmart on the weekend in search of a tagine.   I didn't find any tagines, but managed to score this little kitsch beauty.  It's a china teapot that is actually an electric kettle.  It's sooo cute...I may even name her.

Is it time for another lamp post?  I believe so!  this one (which I am sure loads of people have taken over the years)...not very hard to work out, Paris of course.   I can never get enought of that beautiful city xxx

vintage love of a butterfly...

just found this one in my closet.  I picked it up almost ten years ago at one of my favourite vintage store for next to nothing.  I think I have around five or six of these type of tops, they are all so beautiful, but this one is my favourite...everybody needs a little sparkle in their day.

I am soo still stuck in the 70s

sienna miller in emilio pucci, kind of rock chich-bohemia,

 plus its a pretty midnight blue colour

blake lively in marchesa, I only like this because it's short

and kind of crazy,I like someone who has the guts to wear

something like this, plus the shoes are fab!

last but never least, alexa chung in phillip lim, would I wear this? never.

but I don't think anyone else could get away with it either,

miss chung you seem to be able to carry anything off, very cool

Here are a few things that are making me happy this week.

smell...

chloe eau de fleurs, lavende.  this is sooo beautiful.  I normally wear the original, but will be moving to this one.

see...

if you have not heard already, lady gaga is now the creative director of polaroid.   I cannot wait to see whats in store, especially with the re-launch of instant cameras.

new album for xavier rudd and izintabab - koonyum sun.   aussie music at its best.  impossible not to move your feet to this one.

hugs.  living away from home, it's the one thing you miss from your family.  never enough hugs in the world xxx

I was totally obsessed with this painting growing up.  So much so, that my mother even let me paint my bedroom walls in the same electric blue that is in the painting.  Worth another visit to the Tate, tell her I said hi.

more fun vintage.  These shoes are old, from the 70s.  Brand name is 'Mr Christian' which I can't find anything on.  Everybody needs a pair of disco shoes.

I'm off this weekend to...

...search for tagine so I can cook up a storm.  I have been told there are lovely ones at dragonmart way out in the desert.  wish me luck, will update on this new cooking adventure next week.
...say farewell to my lovely, close friend Cressida who is making her way back to her home country of New Zealand.  So many hugs, a few tears, and a lot of love from all of us.  xxx
...spend some time on my balcony in the sun.
...try out a new album  - SHE & HIM, volume two.
